Miel de Chancaca

Ingredients

  • 500grms chancaca
  • 4 cups water
  • 1 stalk cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp cloves
  • 2 star anise
  • 1 sour apple (Gravensteins is my favorite)
  • 4 fig leaves

Description

Preparation

  1. In a heavy bottom pot, bring to a boil all the ingredients. Once it’s in a full boiling, lower to medium temperature and boil for 30 minutes.
  2. Strain and let cool.
  3. Bottle it in a glass container.
  4. Refrigerate up to a month.
