Classic chocolate chip cookies made with melted butter, white and brown sugar, a hint of vanilla, and a perfect balance of all-purpose flour, baking soda, and sea salt. Loaded with luscious semi-sweet chocolate chips for a timeless treat.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter melted

  • 1/3 cup white sugar

  • 1/2 cup brown sugar packed

  • 1 large egg

  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

  • 1/2 tsp baking soda

  • 1/2 tsp sea salt

  • 1/2 cups chocolate chips (semi-sweet)

Directions

  • Place melted butter and sugars in a stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, or a large bowl if using a hand mixer, and cream for about 1 to two minutes.
  • Be sure to scrape the sides of the bowl during each step of the mixing process.
  • On medium speed beat in egg and vanilla for about one minute.
  • Mix in the flour, baking soda, and salt until combined.
  • Slowly add chocolate chips and mix well.
  • Line two cookie sheets with a silicone baking mat or parchment paper.
  • Scoop 2 Tbsp balls of dough onto the cookie sheet with 1’ of separation (12 cookies per cookie sheet).
  • Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  • In the meantime, preheat oven to 350F.
  • Bake for 10-11 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden. Let cool on the cookie sheets at least 10 minutes before enjoying it.
