Whip up a batch of irresistible apple fritters with this quick recipe. Mix 1 cup cake flour, 1 tbsp sugar, 1 tsp baking powder, and 1/4 tsp salt. In another bowl, beat 1 egg, add 1/2 cup whole milk, and 1/4 tsp vanilla extract. Combine wet and dry ingredients, then fold in 1-2 cups of chopped tart apples. Ingredients

  • 1 cup cake flour

  • 1 Tbsp sugar

  • 1 tsp baking powder

  • 1/4 tsp salt

  • 1 large egg

  • 1/2 cup whole milk

  • 1/4 tsp vanilla extract

  • 2 cups cup chopped peeled tart apple (about 3)

  • Oil for frying

Directions

  • Peel the apples and cut them medium diced.
  • In a bowl, mix apples with flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, eggs, milk, and vanilla
  • Preheat enough oil to fry; about ¼ or ½ inch oil in a frying pan.
  • Drop several spoonfuls of the batter into the hot oil and fry until golden on both sides, about 5 minutes, depending on the size.
