Yellow Rice

Yield: 10 portions


  • 2 TBSP. garlic paste
  • 1/4 cup corn oil
  • 2 cups jasmine rice
  • 2 tsp. turmeric
  • 2 cups water



In a large saucepan heat the oil. Add the rice. Stir the rice until you start seeing the change of color; add the garlic and salt, until the rice turn into a deep white color. Add the turmeric. Add the water and stir. Cover with the lid and turn to minimum temperature until it grows and softens.
