Apple Treats

Yield: 6


  • 2 tablespoons butter or coconut oil
  • 3 Granny Smith apples, peeled, cored, and cut into bite size pieces
  • ¼ cup agave
  • ½ tsp. ground cinnamon
  • Pinch kosher salt
  • 10 oz. frozen puff pastry (6 shells), thawed overnight in the fridge

  1. Preheat oven 425F.
  2. Place frozen shells onto ungreased baking sheet with the tops up and bake for 18 to 20 minutes.
  3. Cool on wire rack and using a knife, gently, remove tops.
  4. In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Once it’s completely melted, add in the apples, and stir until they are fully coated in the butter. Sautee for 5 minutes until nice and tender to your liking.
  5. Once the apples are tender, stir in the salt, agave, and cinnamon.
  6. Spoon the cooked apples into your shells.

Note: You can garnish it with whipped cream, a dust of powder sugar, vanilla ice cream, or a dollop of cream fraiche.
