1) On a pot place 4 first ingredients, and cover it. Bring it to a boil. Then lower the temperature and let it cook for about 20 to 30 minutes.
2) Remove cloves and cinnamon. Incorporate butter and maple syrup. And using a ricer smash it until creamy.
3) To garnish you can use caramelized pecans or walnuts or broil it with marshmallows.
